Shab-e-Miraj β A Beautiful Story for Kids πβ¨
Dear children,
Do you know about a very special night full of miracles?
Today we will learn about Shab-e-Miraj, one of the most amazing events in Islamic history.
This blessed night shows us the power of Allah and teaches us the importance of prayer (Salah). π
What is Shab-e-Miraj? β¨
Shab-e-Miraj is the night when Allah took Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί on a miraculous journey.
This journey had two parts:
π From Makkah to Masjid Al-Aqsa
π From Earth to the Seven Heavens
All of this happened in just one night by the power of Allah.
On this night, Allah also gave Muslims a beautiful gift β the five daily prayers (Salah).

What was Buraq? πβ¨
Buraq is a miraculous heavenly creature used during Isra and Miraj πβ¨. By Allahβs power, it carried Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί across the night sky faster than lightning β‘.
πβ¨ The Journey on Buraq
On the blessed night of Shab-e-Miraj, Allah chose a special heavenly creature called Buraq to carry Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί on a miraculous journey πβ¨. This journey is known as Isra, during which the Prophet ο·Ί traveled from Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah to Masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem π.
By the command of Allah, Buraq could travel faster than lightning β‘, covering an unimaginable distance in a very short time. The night sky was filled with peace and divine light π as Buraq carried the Prophet ο·Ί safely and smoothly across the heavens π.
This journey was not only a miracle but also a great honor for Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί, showing his high status among all Prophets π€. It reminds us that Allah has power over everything, and nothing is impossible for Him π«.

πβ¨ Masjid Al-Aqsa and the Prophets
When Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί reached Masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem on the blessed night of Shab-e-Miraj, a truly amazing event took place πβ¨. Masjid Al-Aqsa is one of the holiest places in Islam and holds great importance in Islamic history π.
Inside Masjid Al-Aqsa, Allah gathered all the previous Prophets for a special moment π. Prophets such as Prophet Adam, Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), Prophet Musa (Moses), and Prophet Isa (Jesus) were present π€. Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί led all of them in Salah (prayer), showing that he is the final and greatest Prophet sent to all mankind πβ¨.
This moment was a great honor and blessing, p
roving the high status of Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί among all Prophets π€. It also showed that the message of Islam is connected with all previous Prophets and teachings πΈ.
Masjid Al-Aqsa reminds Muslims of unity, faith, and obedience to Allah π«. This part of the Miraj journey teaches children and parents the importance of prayer, respect for all Prophets, and love for sacred places πβ¨.

πβ¨ The Journey Through the Heavens
After reaching Masjid Al-Aqsa, Allah took Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί on an even more amazing journey called Miraj πβ¨. From there, the Prophet ο·Ί was taken up through the seven heavens, something no human had ever experienced before π.
In each heaven, Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί met great Prophets of Allah, and each meeting was full of wisdom and blessings π€β¨:
-
In the first heaven, he met Prophet Adam
-
In the second heaven, he met Prophet Isa (Jesus) and Prophet Yahya
-
In the third heaven, he met Prophet Yusuf
-
In the fourth heaven, he met Prophet Idris
-
In the fifth heaven, he met Prophet Harun
-
In the sixth heaven, he met Prophet Musa (Moses)
-
In the seventh heaven, he met Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) πβ¨
Each Prophet welcomed Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί with love and respect, showing his special and highest status among all Prophets π.
At the highest level of this journey, Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί was given the greatest gift for the Muslim Ummah β the command of Salah (five daily prayers) πβ¨. This shows how important prayer is in Islam, because it was given directly by Allah on this miraculous night π«.
This heavenly journey teaches children and parents that:
-
Allah is All-Powerful π
-
Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί is Allahβs most beloved Messenger π€
-
Prayer is a precious gift, not a burden πΈ
The Journey Through the Heavens reminds us that faith, patience, and obedience to Allah always bring us closer to Him πβ¨.

π The Gift of Prayer β¨
One of the greatest and most precious gifts given to Muslims on the blessed night of Shab-e-Miraj was Salah (prayer) πβ¨. Unlike other commands in Islam, Salah was given directly by Allah to Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί during his journey through the heavens π.
At first, Allah commanded 50 daily prayers, showing how important prayer is in a Muslimβs life π€. Through Allahβs mercy and the advice of Prophet Musa (Moses) ο·Ί, this was finally reduced to five daily prayers, while the reward remained equal to fifty π«β¨. This shows Allahβs great kindness and love for the Muslim Ummah πΈ.
Prayer is not just an action β it is a special connection between Allah and His servant π€². When children and adults pray:
-
They feel close to Allah π€
-
They learn discipline and good manners πΈ
-
Their hearts become peaceful and kind π
-
They stay away from bad habits βοΈ
For children, Salah teaches respect, patience, and responsibility, while for parents it is a reminder to raise their children with strong faith and values π¨βπ©βπ§β¨.
π That is why, dear children, we should love our five daily prayers and thank Allah for this beautiful gift πβ¨.
